• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, JavaScript/Type Script, Go, Rust, or Java)
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Strong problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking

• Experience with modern web frameworks (React, Vue, Node.js, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Understanding of database systems (SQL and/or No
  
  SQL)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Previous internship or project experience
• Contributions to open‑source projects
• Background in music technology or audio engineering teams

Jibran and Matthew. Jibran is the CEO graduated from the Chapman University in 2024, with a degree in Finance. Jibran has been going full time on Umbrella for a few months and had a very prominent experience in Tech Sales at Navan, along with venture capital work. Matthew, COO, graduated from the University of Michigan in 2025, with a degree in Economics.

Matthew is multiple time founder that has excited one SaaS venture in 2023:
Mocean Technologies (the former Bloomberg of Discord). Matthew also runs a hospitality business based out of New York City:
Element.
