Title of Role: Product Engineer

Location: San Francisco (Hybrid, 3–4 days per week in-office)

Company Stage of Funding: Series B (high-growth, venture-backed)

Office Type: Hybrid (San Francisco HQ, Mission District)

Salary: $210,000 – $260,000 + equity

With a product that powers SDKs and APIs used globally, this is a unique opportunity to join an elite engineering team and make a significant impact on the developer experience.

• Build and ship major improvements to the SDK Studio, focusing on empowering self-serve users.

• Develop LLM-powered tools that simplify the path from OpenAPI specs to production-ready SDKs.

• Design and implement public APIs that form the foundation of the platform.

• Shape the technical direction of a next-generation API framework.

• Collaborate directly with developers at startups, growth companies, and enterprises to understand and solve their pain points.

• Contribute to documentation, website development, and other developer experience initiatives.

• 4+ years of full-stack or product engineering experience, with strong frontend expertise.

• Deep knowledge of modern web application development (Type Script, React, Node.js, etc.).

• Proven ability to design and build scalable, user-friendly software products.

• Strong product sensibility with empathy for developers and a passion for improving their workflows.

• Experience designing or stewarding APIs at scale (internal or external).

• Track record of impact in high-bar engineering environments (top startups, developer tools, or API-first companies).

• Experience with OpenAPI and the broader API ecosystem.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing technical blogs, documentation, or engaging with developer communities.

• Experience at an early-stage startup or building something from scratch (e.g., a business, club, or open-source project).

• Polyglot experience across multiple programming languages.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Competitive salary range: $210,000 – $260,000 base.
