About LYRIC

Founded in 1988, the Lavender Youth Recreation & Information Center (LYRIC) is a nationally recognized leader in youth-led social change. We partner with over 2,000 LGBTQQ+ youth annually to build community, nurture healing, and foster long-term stability through education, career development, wellness, and leadership programs.

LYRIC’s vision is rooted in equity, liberation, and joy—especially for trans, nonbinary, Black, Brown, disabled, and system-impacted youth navigating structural barriers. With a $4M annual budget and a multigenerational, multicultural staff of 20+, LYRIC continues to create affirming spaces that center youth voice, safety, and power.

About This Role

We are hiring a Youth Services Manager to lead our housing access programming at Purple House—LYRIC’s space for LGBTQQ+ Youth—and manage our work with the Coordinated Entry and Rapid Rehousing system in partnership with the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH).

This role blends site-based direct support with system-level coordination. You'll oversee staff who provide housing navigation, 1:1 case management, and access to wraparound resources for youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

As a leader in LYRIC’s Housing and Wellness portfolio, you’ll drive innovation in how young people access stable housing while building partnerships that remove barriers and center youth voice in systems change work.

The position in in-person 100%.

Cross-System Collaboration
  • Serve as a key liaison with the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH), housing providers, and city partners.
  • Participate in citywide housing access and equity conversations, advocating for LGBTQQ+ youth of color.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies and youth referral networks.
Program Evaluation & Fiscal Oversight
  • Track program data and report on outcomes using LYRIC’s evaluation tools.
  • Develop and manage a program budget with support from finance and leadership teams.
  • Monitor staffing allocations and ensure financial compliance with funder requirements.
Who You Are
  • A seasoned housing or youth development leader with at least 3 years of program management experience.
  • Familiar with Coordinated Entry, Rapid Rehousing, and the broader San Francisco homelessness response system.

  • An effective supervisor who offers transparent communication, strengths-based coaching, and high support/high accountability practices.
  • Skilled in navigating public systems and advocating for historically excluded communities.
  • Organized and tech-savvy, with experience using tools like Google Suite, Zoom, and basic data/reporting systems.
