Title: Service Technician II
Reports To: Service Shop Lead
Pay Range: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
Position Overview: This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motor coaches and other commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains motorcoaches, commercial and non-commercial vehicles, and other vehicles or machines as directed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment, free from hazards and unnecessary noise which could lead to distractions from the work at hand.
- Understands and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains compliance with all local, state, and Federal regulations applicable to operations, buildings, grounds, and personnel including but not limited to EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
- Details repairs on work orders using shop computers and associated software; duties may evolve as the company adapts to future trends.
- Accurately maintain and track time and attendance.
- Expand knowledge and skill levels to perform maintenance and repairs effectively and efficiently on both customer and internal vehicles.
- Demonstrate maturity and uphold ABC’s core values at all times.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames.
- Ability to provide or bring tools necessary to complete assigned responsibilities.
- Experience with Body and Frame Repairs.
- Experience with Interior Component repair/replacement.
- Audio/Video knowledge recommended not required.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Willingness to teach/mentor other techs with personal strengths.
- Ability to identify parts needed to effect repairs on vehicles being worked on.
- May be required to guide/lead shop and team from time to time.
- EPA certification in Refrigerant handling or ability to pass the test within 30 days of being hired.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Good attendance.
- WillING to travel; possible work on weekends/overtime.
- Ability to move items weighing at least 100 pounds.
- Movements required for extended periods (80-100% of shift).
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
