  • Experience in understanding and complying with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.

  • 2+ Automotive Technician Certifications (ASE or OEM)

Summary

Insight Global is seeking A-Level Technicians and C-Level Technicians to work for a premium electric vehicle (EV) brand that designs, develops, and sells high-performance, tech-focused battery electric cars. This Electric Vehicle Technician will specifically work on robo-taxis and will be primarily responsible for diagnosing and repairing the vehicles.

A-Level Technician: 5+ years of EV technician Experience

C-Level Technician: 1+ year(s) of EV Technician experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with company standards.
  • Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and perform repair using schematics and/or diagnostic equipment.
  • Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by our technical team.
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicates with the shop foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the work order.
  • Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the shop foreman.
  • Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins/recalls.
  • Supervises the work of other technicians and provides guidance and mentorship to them.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Notifies the shop foreman immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Keeps the shop area neat and clean.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to leadership.
