Installation Technician I - West (Travel opportunity!)

As an Installation Technician I you’re responsible for the installation and maintenance of Steelco Belimed products while providing excellent service to customers. This could be a great fit if you possess strong mechanical aptitude and excellent customer service skills! You may have experience as a/an:
Automotive Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, HVAC Technician, Electronics Technician, Machinist’s Mate, Boiler Technician, Generator Technician, Maintenance Technician, Appliance or Equipment Repair Technician, Aviation Structural Mechanic, etc.
This position is a remote, home-based position traveling within the West US.
Compensation: $25 - $32 commensurate of home location and skills / experience.
Travel Requirement: This position will require an estimated 75%-95% of travel away from home for up to 4 weeks at a time. Flexibility to travel nationwide during the training period is also required.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation of all Steelco Belimed projects (i.e. limited to un‑crating, leveling, setting product in place, testing unit, etc.)
- Verify that equipment delivered to the Customer site matches the order
- Ensure installation site is clean and neat at the end of each day
- Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities
- Complete service documentation associated with installation activity
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Experience in the use of tools, power tools, and diagnostic / configuration equipment in a technical role
- Basic knowledge of steam, water, and pneumatic process controls
- Aptitude to quickly learn and apply all relevant skills, knowledge, and abilities
- Ability to travel overnight approximately 75-95% of the time and for periods up to 4 weeks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective collaboration
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, bend, squat, sit, stand, twist, etc.
- Flexibility of scheduling to accommodate customer needs
- Ability to properly trouble‑shoot, diagnose, repair and document product/system issues
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel / Sheets, etc)
