Job Summary
A heavy equipment operator operates various heavy equipment in construction, maintenance, and repair activities, including trenching, excavation, grading, bulldozing, and paving.
Reports to
Foreman, General Superintendent, Group Manager.
Key Communication Partners
Laborers, Foreman, General Superintendent.
Typical Duties
Qualifications
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.
Education and experience in operating heavy equipment required.
English understanding related to safety and job duties.
Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
Apply common sense to follow instructions and handle standard situations.
No specific computer skills required.
Interpersonal skills: conflict resolution, dependability, thoroughness.
No licenses or certifications required.
Compensation
$54 - $61 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
