Our team will ensure all meeting requirements are met with customizable room layouts and diverse catering options, all conveniently located at San Francisco Airport.
The Senior Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. The Senior Sales Manager is a career sales professional and a top producer within hotel sales who has demonstrated through performance a commitment and expertise in direct sales. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business.
Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate. The Senior Sales Manager will also participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings. The Senior Sales Manager also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff and is in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.
Solicits, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts, which exhibit potential for business. This role may take on leadership functions and assist Director of Sales & Marketing with projects.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly/annual revenue goals.
- Prospect, qualify, and convert new business for assigned segments (e.g., corporate groups, meetings, SMERF, association, airline/aviation partners, or local market accounts-based on need).
- Manage an assigned account base, growing share through consistent engagement, strategic partnerships, and service excellence.
- Conduct sales calls, site inspections, client presentations, and participation in trade shows, networking events, and sales missions.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and industry partners; serve as the primary contact throughout the sales process.
- Lead the RFP process from inquiry to closing, including needs analysis, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
- Ensure accurate booking details and seamless transition to event operations via strong handoffs and communication.
- Maintain ongoing client contact to encourage repeat business, referrals, and positive guest feedback.
- Partner with Revenue Management to ensure pricing, yield, and business mix strategies align with property goals.
- Collaborate with Events/Catering, Banquets, Operations, and Rooms teams to ensure program success and client satisfaction.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings, forecasting, and pipeline reviews; provide accurate projections and updates.
- Maintain a strong, active pipeline and update activity, traces, and account notes in CRM/sales systems (e.g., Delphi/future systems as applicable).
- Produce accurate revenue forecasts and monthly productivity reports (calls, bookings, pace, conversion, and account production).
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity; recommend strategies to maintain and grow market share.
- Negotiate contracts and concessions within established guidelines, protecting hotel profitability and minimizing risk.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, legal requirements, and property policies for contracting and data handling.
The salary range for this position is $83,600-$108,000.
