Area Sales Manager – Medical / Aesthetic Lasers (Northern California)
Location:
San Francisco, CA
Fotona, a globally recognized leader in aesthetic, medical, and dental laser technology, is seeking a highly motivated Sales Professional to prospect and develop new Medical/Aesthetic customers in the Northern California Territory. This role offers the chance to grow in the lucrative aesthetic laser market with hands‑on education and a competitive salary and commission structure.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication, and organizational skills, and establish a strong sense of trust among Fotona’s customer base.
- Manage high-volume cold calls to medical practices and med spas.
- Identify decision‑makers and evaluate the buying process.
- Determine prospects’ business needs and goals to recommend solutions.
- Actively seek out new customers through prospecting, trade shows, virtual and live meetings, and other points of contact.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Fotona products.
- Travel within the territory, attend trade shows, trainings, and other events as required.
- Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Represent Fotona with high‑level integrity and professionalism.
- Minimum 4+ years of outbound business‑to‑business sales experience.
- Capital Equipment, Durable Medical Equipment, and/or Medical Device sales experience a strong plus.
- Proven ability to develop qualified appointments.
- Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies.
- Excellent phone, written, and in‑person sales and communication skills.
- Strong passion for prospecting.
- Basic MS Office Suite and computer/internet skills.
- Experience using CRM tools;
Salesforce preferred. - Reliable work ethic and ability to work independently to produce results.
- Ability to drive within the territory daily.
- Ability to travel overnight (≈30% of the time) and outside the territory for national trade shows, trainings, and other events.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; occasional heavier lifting as needed.
- Capability to stand, lift, push/pull, bend, squat, stretch, twist/turn, walk, and reach throughout the day, and work at a computer for extended periods.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Compensation and Benefits- Competitive salary based on experience and track record, plus uncapped commissions.
