We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager for our San Francisco territory - come join us now to be part of our trial blazing biotech start‑up!
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic account planning and execution for Lucence Health's screening tests within the assigned territory.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, longevity clinics, concierge medicine, preventive cardiologists, and primary care practices to secure adoption and utilization of the screening tests.
- Lead the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and initial engagement to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring alignment with Lucence Health's revenue and market share goals.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of potential and existing clients.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Executive Sales Leadership, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Customer Service, Billing, and Sales Operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and effective market penetration.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory changes to proactively adjust sales strategies and provide valuable internal feedback.
- Achieve or exceed all assigned sales goals and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Represent Lucence Health at industry conferences, trade shows, and professional meetings to promote the screening test portfolio.
- Manage a territory focused on high‑value accounts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximum return on investment.
Success Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience within the lab or biotechnology industry.
- Demonstrated strong selling skills and deep understanding of the selling process in the healthcare industry;
Documented history of sales performance success. - Ability to travel as required, as needed – approximately 90%, and overnight stays.
- Valid driver’s license.
- An accomplished track record of growth in new customer accounts and expansion of testing volume within existing accounts.
- A history of high‑level customer satisfaction and retention.
- Effective territory management, demonstrated by comprehensive account plans and the strategic utilization of company resources.
- Proficiency in product knowledge and the ability to articulate the clinical and economic value proposition of both screening tests to diverse audiences.
- Timely and accurate reporting of sales forecasts and pipeline status.
- Contribution to the development of best practices and successful sales strategies within the Business Development team.
- Ability to establish strong, collaborative working relationships with internal partners.
- Consistent adherence to all compliance and regulatory guidelines governing the sales of medical devices/diagnostic tests.
- Working knowledge of customer base and geography; existing relationships with KOLs, longevity clinics, concierge medicine, preventive cardiologists, and primary care practices.
- Experience working in a startup environment; comfortable with change and ambiguity.
