Job Description

We’re seeking a Technical Sales Account Manager to support the West Industrial and Environmental Territory, covering California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The ideal candidate lives within one hour of LAX or SFO.

- Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks; manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long‑term success.
- Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs.
- Resolve conflicts and provide timely solutions to customers.
- Report on the status of accounts and transactions.
- Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives; monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly results and annual forecasts).
- Attend company‑sponsored trade shows and promote local or regional conferences that generate sales opportunities.
- Maintain technical understanding of competitors’ products and sales distribution.
- Travel within the territory to customer sites for business development, equipment demonstrations, and aftermarket product sales.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
- Experience with analytical instruments, preferably in industrial and environmental industries.
- Strong interpersonal and customer‑focused skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of industrial applications for product lines and markets.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑motivated with excellent time‑management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Required: Associate’s Degree in a technical field and 5+ years of technical commercial experience in sales or application, or related customer‑facing experience. Travel 50% of the time (including some international travel) and valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and 5+ years of technical commercial sales, application, or related customer‑facing experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of industrial wastewater treatment systems, high‑purity and wastewater treatment systems, and municipal drinking water & wastewater systems.
- Competitive compensation tied to market benchmarks; salary range $97,000 – $120,000 (may vary based on qualifications and market conditions).
