Inventory & Asset Management
- Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and SOPs for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy.
- Support pharmacy inventory management activities: receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
- Champion On‑Shelf Availability and oversee receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in‑store inventory processes.
- Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms.
- Review and coordinate the proper use of reports and system applications that impact the accuracy of front end and pharmacy on‑hand balances and pricing.
- Execute and maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques; file claims for warehouse and vendor overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods including prescription drugs.
- In designated stores, open and close the store in the absence of store management, performing required systems start‑ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- When serving as the leader on duty, resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
- Scan all deliveries while the vendor is in the store, focusing on One Box receiving and taking appropriate actions for undelivered receipts.
- Under pharmacist supervision, verify all pharmacy shipments are posted for products physically received at the store.
- Complete or verify postings of all pharmacy warehouse orders, ABC prescription, OTC orders, secondary vendor orders, flu and dropship orders, performing tote audits, and reporting shortages or damaged product.
- Complete On‑Shelf Availability (OSA) end‑to‑end process including warehouse and direct store delivery (DSD) for planogrammed departments, disposals, call‑ins, and vendor returns before expiration.
- Under pharmacist supervision, complete pharmacy inventory activities: recalls, vendor returns, non‑controlled, and damaged salvage returns; facilitate excess inventory returns or interstore pharmacy transfers; verify posting of all pharmacy/prescription claims.
- Execute all pricing activities: price changes, markdowns, and markdown deletes, including daily price changes and accurate signage.
- Support front end and pharmacy ordering by ordering expense items and monitoring pharmacy manual orders.
- Ensure all designated pull & quarantine item on‑hands are updated and placed in holding area.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts in all departments, stockroom, overstock locations, and pharmacy smart counts.
- Ensure store complies with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Assist in maintaining inventory records: receipts, posting, and filing invoices/receipts/return authorizations.
- Help prepare for physical inventory and support day‑of inventory activities.
- Support keeping all counters and shelves clean and well merchandised.
- Know all store systems and equipment.
- Assist and coach store team on package delivery activities, scanning in/out of packages, daily inventory functions, and package returns; support Pickup Program execution.
- When leader on duty, register all related sales on POS, handle scanning errors, price verifications, item not on file issues, price modifications, voids, product returns, order voids, refunds, cash drops, and provide change.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete any additional activities and tasks as assigned.
- Attend company‑based trainings for continuous development and complete all e‑learning modules, including safety training requirements.
- Obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy license/certification as required by the state.
