About the Job:
Warehouse Receiving Associate

• Receives all products for the store, inspecting for shortages, overages, damage, and quality using a handheld device or inventory computer system
• Examines contents and compares with records, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipment
• Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications
• Keeps careful invoice files and records and follows established procedures
• Works closely with the buying team and store management to make arrangements for shipping and delivery of materials
• Follows merchandise pricing and tagging procedures
• Delivers or routes products to appropriate departments or storage areas
• Attends all applicable training and is able to use or is certified in the use of appropriate equipment (including pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.) needed for the store or facility
• Maintains courteous relationships with drivers and vendors
• Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices
• Operates all equipment safely and correctly
• Assist on the sales floor as needed
• Assist with stocking
• Assist with store services: key copy, assembly, woodcuts, glass cut, and others
• Other related duties as assigned

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years prior receiving experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to work independently and to communicate effectively with other team members and store leadership. Knowledgeably communicate with vendors over email and telephone. Ability to understand proper retail receiving with strong attention to detail. Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Must be computer literate. Ability to operate hand truck, pallet jack, and other equipment. Able to move and handle boxes/totes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails walking, standing, bending, climbing ladders and performing all functions as set forth. Able to stand for long periods & ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Wage Range: $19.25 - $20.00/hour
