Assistant Merchant

Field Support Center (FSC) - San Francisco, CA

Our merchandising team is constantly building brands, starting trends, and developing entirely new product categories. And our merchants don’t stop at selection—they bring the assortment to life through breakthrough curation and storytelling across our stores and digital properties.

As an Assistant Merchant, you will report into the Merchant and:

• Manage brand assortments for up to 400 stores, including visual merchandising and timelines
• Communicate consistently with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
• Assist in creation and execution of brand/ product strategies and product pipeline
• Prepare reports and assist in analyzing the business
• Partner with cross functional partners to execute on robust 360
  * launch strategies
• Stay on top of trends, new products and brands

• 2-3 years retail buying experience at a major retailer
• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills with comfort presenting to large groups
• Excellent technical skills – MS Office (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint); merchant systems
• Passion for retail, product, and trends
• A strong numbers-aptitude and analytical skills with a drive for results
• A demonstrated ability to negotiate and exert influence
• An ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast pace, complex environment
• A positive and collaborative attitude

The annual base salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $93,000.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position;

and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. This job will be posted for a minimum of five days.
