The Retail Strategy & Operations team has expanded into industries such as pets, beauty, flowers, office supplies, home improvement, apparel, and more.
AboutThe Role
As we scale our Retail business, we’re looking to hire a few Associates to support key strategic initiatives, including merchandising & selection. You’ll expand our retail offering via selection expansion and make it seamlessly shoppable for customers. You’ll own our end‑to‑end merchandising lifecycle from trend identification through on‑platform placement and collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Shopex, Growth, and Analytics to test, measure, and scale retail initiatives that increase traffic and gross value.
Key Responsibilities- Strategize by mapping selection whitespace by retailer type, geo, and category to unlock product availability.
- Operate by standing up 0→1 pilots, building dashboards, managing week‑over‑week KPIs, and turning wins into scalable processes.
- Analyze by building models in Excel and SQL to evaluate expansion opportunities and prioritize the next bets.
- Build by translating sales cycles and GTM needs into requirements and co‑leading product feature development.
- Lead, collaborate, and influence cross‑functional teams and external vendors to unlock partnerships, growth, and quality to scale retail presence across the country.
- 1–3+ years of experience in an analytical, cross‑functional culture (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or related).
- Owner mentality with a bias for action and a willingness to build things from the ground up.
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable pulling data in SQL and building models in Excel.
- Adaptable, constantly chasing new tools and efficient ways to work, and comfortable using AI.
- Capacity to operate at 10,000 feet and 1 foot, comfortable diving into detail while thinking long‑term and inspiring a team.
- Unafraid of ambiguity, thriving in fast‑changing, startup environments.
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related.
Base salary will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors. The role includes opportunities for equity grants. Door Dash offers a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) with employer matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off, and paid sick leave in compliance with applicable laws.
National base pay range: $56,500—$95,000 USD.
