The Merchant will develop and execute regional merchandising strategies that align with brand vision and financial objectives. This role combines consumer insights, market trends, and financial analysis to create compelling assortments that meet customer needs. The Merchant will collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Planning, Allocation, and Licensing, to ensure cohesive execution and commercial success.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and present regional merchandising strategies for the assigned apparel category.
- Lead seasonal line planning to deliver balanced assortments across fits, styles, price points, and cluster needs.
- Analyze historical performance, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform product decisions.
- Maintain data integrity within merchandising systems and tools.
- Monitor industry trends and consumer insights to ensure product relevance.
- Present key findings during monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive regional product strategy and investment.
- Minimum 4 years of merchandising experience in apparel manufacturing, retail, or marketing.
- Strong understanding of merchandising principles and design trends.
- Ability to translate insights into actionable product strategies.
- Proactive and results-driven with strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to build trust and alignment across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
- 4+ years of direct merchandising experience in apparel.
