The primary responsibility of the Cashier position is to provide helpful customer service, process sales transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and be proficient with Point of Sale (POS) register operations.

• Positively represent Brentwood Ace Hardware through excellent Customer Service
• Present a pleasant and professional appearance based on Ace standards
• Greet each customer as they enter the store
• Answer incoming phone calls
• Be pleasant and tactful with each customer interaction
• Promote Ace Rewards Program
• Be aware and knowledgeable of all store promotions, advertisings, and sales
• Show proficiency and accuracy with money handling and cash transactions
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers accurately
• Help maintain product/merchandise and cleanliness in the register area
• Be proficient with the POS program system
• Accurately report/deposit daily sales
• Have a general knowledge of product locations in store

• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand and move for an extended period of time

• Drug test; hair and urine within 24 hours of job offering
