Showroom Manager

Summary

Manages the operations of the showroom and staff while supporting outside sales for the region.

• Direct supervision and training of showroom staff
• Works well with outside sales reps
• Works to increase showroom sales
• Communicates with customers to determine their needs and provides the appropriate service
• Initiates and follows‑up the tracking of all orders with corporate office
• Ensures showroom operations are completed efficiently
• Arranges and displays new products for all fabric lines
• Pulls all discontinued patterns from all lines
• Prepares daily and weekly reports of showroom traffic and sales
• Ensures weekly reports are completed and submitted each Friday
• Answers phones, takes orders, checks stock, and advises customers of delivery
• Maintains and balances petty cash for showroom
• Implements corporate policies
• Implements safety and good housekeeping practices
• Uses personnel, materials, and equipment effectively
• Is responsible for dealing with customer and staff conflicts should they arise
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High‑school education equivalent; college preferred
• Sales experience required
• Should be on sales floor the majority of the day
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel
• Ability to work with designers on projects and help select fabrics for projects
• Able to lift 40 lbs
• Must be dependable
• Excellent organization skills and basic math skills
• Superb interpersonal skills, works effectively with others and motivates employees
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must be neat in appearance and dress
