Having reigned as a swanky outpost of South Seas high style for much of its storied history, Tonga Room more recently gained a following as an icon of tiki’s pop culture heyday of the 1940s and 1950s. Following a $1 million restoration by Gensler San Francisco, Tonga Room has rekindled the excitement of its unique and time-honored Accor to recapture the glory of one of the nation’s first tiki palaces.

Reporting to the Director, Banquets, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
• Serve all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Other duties as assigned

Hourly Rate: $19.76 USD Gross per hour

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous experience is an asset
• Previous guest service experience is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Constant lifting and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
