Lipid Nanoparticle Discovery & Formulation
We re currently working exclusively with an early stage biotechnology company in the San Francisco Bay Area developing next generation gene editing delivery technologies.
They are looking to bring in an experienced scientist to focus on the design and formulation of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) systems used to package and deliver gene editing payloads.
This role is centred on the biochemistry and formulation side of LNPs, including lipid composition, particle design, and strategies for encapsulating nucleic acid payloads such as RNA or gene editing components. The position will work closely with teams focused on gene editing and delivery biology to support the development of therapeutic programs.
Responsibilities- Focus on the design and formulation of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) systems used to package and deliver gene editing payloads.
- Contribute to LNP biochemistry, lipid composition, particle design, and encapsulation strategies for nucleic acid payloads (e.g., RNA or gene editing components).
- Collaborate with gene editing and delivery biology teams to support development of therapeutic programs.
- Level: Principal Scientist or Director
- Location:
San Francisco Bay Area (fully onsite) - Focus: LNP formulation, lipid chemistry, and nucleic acid encapsulation
The company raised a $100M Series A in 2025 and is developing delivery technology capable of enabling larger and more complex gene edits than many current approaches.
If you have experience working with lipid nanoparticles for RNA, CRISPR, or nucleic acid delivery, please get in touch.
