Amazon Health is seeking a customer-obsessed Senior UX Researcher to join our team and uncover insights that will reimagine the future of healthcare delivery. You'll lead in-depth studies to deeply understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of our customers, and translate those insights into opportunities that create transformative digital experiences.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead comprehensive healthcare journey mapping and Jobs-to-be-Done research to understand clinician, provider and patient needs.
  • Design and execute mixed-method research studies that address sensitive healthcare topics, including in-clinic patient visits, central health record management, and telehealth experiences.
  • Inform segmentation studies and persona development specific to healthcare audiences.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate insights into product development and roadmaps.
  • Synthesize findings from healthcare research work streams to identify patterns and opportunities across the health experience.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact experience
  • 5+ years of hands‑on work with field research, ethnography, lab‑based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design experience
  • Experience in leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact
  • Experience with field research, ethnography, lab‑based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design
  • Experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
  • Experience with behavioral data collection, quantitative data analysis, and statistics
  • Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • Experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, or experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
  • Strong understanding of healthcare privacy concerns and trust‑building research methods, including the handling of protected health information (PHI).
  • Expertise in zero to one and generative research methodologies.
