The Castro Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinary assistant. If you have a passion for veterinary medicine, excellent client care, and the ambition to become an intricate part of our healthcare team, keep reading because you sound like one of us!

We are a five-doctor hospital in the bustling Castro/Duboce neighborhood on Church St. There is a high demand for veterinary care in the Castro and surrounding communities. Our team strives to fulfill this demand with the highest quality of care.

Successful candidates will have one year of experience and be proficient in:

• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
• Competency in emergency and surgical care
• Diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy and sample collection, and in-house lab work
• Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff.
• Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions.
