Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric RN with a CA license, BLS, PALS, and critical care experience for an acute care assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a pediatric unit of an acute care hospital setting

• May float to the Pediatric ICU (PICU) and Neonatal ICU (NICU) as needed

• Day shifts available: 3x12s from 07:00 to 19:30 or 4x8s from 07:00 to 15:30

• Weekend rotation required

• No on-call responsibilities

• 50 mile radius rule applies for eligibility

• Provide assessment, direct patient care, education, and coordination of care in an acute pediatric setting

• Must be able to deliver holistic and individualized care considering psychological and cultural factors

• Collaborate with families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team

• Only one holiday off will be approved for requested time off

• Returning staff must be gone at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing

• Standard hospital scrub attire required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required

• Current BLS (AHA) and PALS certifications required

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required

• Critical care experience in PICU or IMCU required

• APHON certification preferred
