Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized resident care. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality nursing services, supervises nursing staff, and maintains compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements. The RN serves as a clinical leader on the unit, supporting resident safety, quality outcomes, and collaborative care practices.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and initiate individualized care plans based on resident assessments upon admission.
- Continuously assess resident conditions and update care plans as needed.
- Communicate significant changes in resident status to appropriate members of the healthcare team.
- Implement nursing interventions, including resident education and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Serve as a clinical resource and provide guidance to licensed vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants.
- Conduct shift rounds to establish baseline assessments and monitor quality of care.
- Direct and supervise daily nursing care delivery on the unit.
- Accurately and timely document all nursing care provided.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities and oversee unit operations as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Promote a professional, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
- Accept reassignment as needed to meet resident care requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated clinical assessment, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
