Candidates must have a CPNP-AC (Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care) certification to be considered for this role. Our 183-bed Hospital has more than 150 specialists in more than 40 areas of medicine.
The Nurse Practitioner will serve as a high-level professional whose activities will span the interface between the physicians and nurses who manage the Oncology program at San Francisco. The Nurse Practitioner will act as an independent member of the team, taking responsibility for the safe delivery of care for inpatient pediatric oncology patients in addition to some ambulatory responsibilities for patient care follow-up.
This team member will meet productivity expectations as set forth by the Division Chief, performing any duties related to patient care activities that are appropriate and clearly delineated.
- CPNP-AC Certification to be considered
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience working as an RN in a Pediatric BMT or Pediatric Oncology
- Masters Degree in Nursing with an Acute Care pediatric nurse practitioner specialization
- Minimum of six (6) months of Nurse Practitioner experience in a Pediatric BMT or Pediatric Oncology unit
