Job Summary

Interested in a dynamic, autonomous practice setting, working with a highly skilled and collaborative APP team? Consider joining our ambulatory care Cancer Center Infusion APP team. The Cancer Center Infusion APP team is responsible for overseeing the care of 50-75 patients per day (depending on the size of the unit). We cover five infusion centers providing treatment for oncology and non‑oncology patients.

The infusion APPs triage multiple issues in real time and ensure continuity of care through collaboration and communication with physicians, surgeons, and APP colleagues as well as other clinical and administrative staff. Ultimately, we ensure timely patient care and treatment to meet goals of care, optimize the patient experience, and ensure good patient outcomes. In addition to our infusion areas, we manage higher‑acuity oncology patients in our three‑bed Cancer Center Acute Care (CACC) to avoid unnecessary emergency room visits and hospital admissions and facilitate emergency services and admission when necessary.

The salary range for this position is $141.87 – $141.87 (Hourly Rate). The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Placement within the salary range is dependent on work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement is guided by the collective bargaining agreement. • Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing approved or verified school of nursing with a master’s degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
• Two (2) years of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner in the same specialty and setting.

• One (1) year of experience in adult critical care medicine as a nurse or nurse practitioner.
• Specialty certifications: OCN or AOCNP.
• ECG and imaging interpretation (X‑ray, CT, and MRI).

• California Registered Nurse (RN) license without restriction.
• California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license without restriction.
• California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number.
• NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role.
• California driver license (if required for position).
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Additional required AHA certifications.
• Additional required certifications (such as ENLS):
  None.
