Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – On-Call
Location:
San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living, San Francisco, CA. This is a non-benefited, on-call role. Shift: PM Shift 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM. Pay Rate: $43.16/hour. On-Call: 0–8 hours per week.
San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living provides a continuum of care across its facilities, including the Frank Residences (assisted living and memory care), the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center (long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit for older adults).

What You’ll Do as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)- Provide efficient, safe, and high-quality nursing care to residents using the nursing process.
- Supervise nursing assistants and participate in resident care as required.
- Administer medications and treatments; assess residents’ conditions.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed and maintain effective communication across shifts and departments.
- Ensure a clean, safe environment; respond to resident and facility emergencies.
- Document care needs and interventions in medical records and care plans; complete required documentation related to assessments, care planning, physician orders, and evaluations.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold professional standards; advocate for residents’ rights and report signs of abuse or neglect.
- Assist with onboarding of new nursing staff and provide feedback for the evaluation of nursing assistants.
- Participate in in-service education to support ongoing professional development; ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Accept reassignment as needed to meet resident care needs and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program.
- Current and active LVN license in the state of California.
- Current CPR certification.
- Two years of acute or long-term care experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong commitment to quality patient care, safety, and professionalism.
