Qualifications
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a cardiology clinic or outpatient setting
  • Proficient in telephone and in-basket triage
  • Ability to float to other UCSF healthcare facilities within a 75-mile radius
  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Recent travel nursing experience (within the last 12 months) preferred
  • Experience with electronic charting systems (Epic EMR preferred)
  • Experience with adult and geriatric patient care preferred
  • Prior teaching hospital or academic medical center experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Perform telephone and in-basket triage for cardiology patients in an outpatient clinic
  • Manage medication REMs and perform medication reconciliation
  • Float to other UCSF healthcare locations as needed
  • Interpret laboratory results and manage patient health questionnaires
  • Document vital signs, patient history, allergies, and process pharmacy/patient refill requests
  • Set up aseptic and sterile procedure trays; perform specimen labeling
  • Conduct dressing changes, venipuncture/phlebotomy, and other outpatient nursing procedures
  • Deliver compassionate clinical support to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment
