Role DescriptionThis is a part-time role for a Grant Administrator located in the San Francisco Bay Area The Grant Administrator will
- Oversees overall grants flow process, documents procedures, and manages all aspects of process implementation including approvals
- Administers all components of the grants cycle, including: database management, grant documentation, grant compliance, and check processing
- Prepares and provides accurate grant data / information to foundation staff, Board of Trustees, and other internal and external stakeholders
- Works internally with volunteer grants team and other stakeholders to structure and implement grantmaking requirements and ensure effective workflow
- Identifies opportunities to optimize existing grant workflow, collaborating with other colleagues to implement while ensuring continued quality and timeliness across all aspects of the grant cycle
- Responsible for database, including assurance of data integrity both funds received and grants made
- Maintains accurate reporting for restricted grant budgets and expenditures. Operations – 30%
- Provides support to finance team as needed
- Prepares data-related reports for finance, philanthropic and program related functions
- Ensures compliance with respect to grant and donor related elements of foundation policies
- Oversees grant team comprised of volunteer grant researchers and writers
- Grant Administration and Proposal Writing skills
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Ability to manage a volunteer grant team of five members
- Excellent Communication and Program Management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a volunteer grants team
- Ability to visit work sites and attend a minimum of two Wholly H2O events per year.
- Experience in watershed sciences, stormwater management, community sciences, environmental science, or a related field is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
