Position SummaryAre you a strategic operator and problem solver who thrives at the intersection of community impact, program design, and partnership management? We are seeking a Program Officer (“PO”) to serve as an embedded team member with Mid Pen Housing.
Program Breakdown- Mid Pen Resident Wellness Fund: fast, flexible microgrants to residents.
- Staff Changemakers Fund: staff‑led projects for resident wellbeing.
- Mobile Dental Care Program: oral health access via mobile clinics.
- Food Security Program: on‑site pantries and local provider partnerships.
- Operationalize, oversee, and continuously improve four cornerstone programs.
- Strengthen community awareness and participation through multilingual promotion.
- Serve as a strategic partner to site staff, translating resident feedback into improvements.
- Manage detailed workplans, budgets, and timelines across program streams.
- Lead systems‑level analysis to identify efficiencies and process improvements.
- Oversee full‑cycle management of the Resident Wellness Fund and Staff Changemakers Fund.
- Coordinate review cycles with designated Mid Pen staff and synthesize recommendations.
- Partner with Mid Pen leadership to facilitate timely fund distribution.
- Track data on application trends, fund utilization, and impact metrics.
- Manage operational partnerships with organizations delivering direct services.
- Oversee service delivery schedules, logistics, and on‑site coordination.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships aligned with Mid Pen’s long‑term health investment strategy.
- Support development of new partnerships as program needs evolve.
- Aggregate and analyze program data and produce quarterly updates and annual impact summaries.
- Capture stories of impact and qualitative insights, in partnership with Mid Pen staff.
- Identify lessons learned and process improvements; contribute to refinement of Mid Pen’s broader health investment strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑partner programs, budgets, and implementation plans.
- Strong organizational, communications, and analytical skills.
- Experience facilitating multi‑stakeholder engagement and building trust across diverse groups.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and community‑driven approaches.
- Proactively improves processes, takes initiative, and displays a growth mindset.
- Highly reliable, with proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Comfortable working independently, solving problems with creativity and sound judgment.
- Track record of forging meaningful partnerships rooted in trust and cultural responsiveness.
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple Mid Pen sites across its geographic footprint.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in additional languages;
Spanish or Mandarin highly desirable. - Direct experience managing or administering grant programs and familiarity with project or grants management platforms.
- Background in client or program management within consulting, philanthropy, community development, or health sectors.
- Experience working with communities impacted by housing insecurity, health disparities, or other social and structural drivers of health.
- Lived experience that provides insight into the communities served by Mid Pen Housing.
The starting salary for this role is $85,000-$97,500.
