Dolores Shelter Program (DSP) has offered assistance to homeless people in the Mission area since 1982. DSP operates 108 shelter beds across four sites:
Martha, Maria, Ana, and Jazzie’s Place – the first LGBTQIA Adult Shelter in the country. Operations run 365 days. Staff provide direct services and referrals to other programs and services. The greatest challenge is to help participants break the cycle of homelessness that affects so many people in our city.
Under the supervision of the Dolores Shelter Program Manager and the Shelter Manager, Shelter Monitors are responsible for the operation and security of the shelter site and the supervision of the shelter guests. All shelters operate 7 days per week. Weekends are required.
