Role Description

This is a part‑time (2‑3 hours a week), volunteer role in San Francisco, CA, for a Community Development Manager. You will be responsible for building and managing relationships with artists, speakers, and patrons involved in Arts Humanitas and the SF Art, Nature, Ecology Biennale. Key tasks include coordinating community engagement initiatives, managing communication across social media and email channels, and organizing events to connect stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities include supporting fundraising initiatives, tracking artist and speaker involvement, and fostering a thriving artistic and climate‑environmental community.

Qualifications
  • Community Engagement and Relationship Building:
    Experience in fostering strong connections with artists, speakers, patrons, and donors to support organizational goals.
  • Event Coordination and Management:
    Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute events that engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Communication and Content Creation:
    Proficiency in social media management, email marketing, and crafting compelling promotional content.
  • Fundraising and Networking:
    Skills in securing philanthropic support, developing partnerships, and managing donor relations.
  • General

    Skills:

    Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; passion for art, nature advocacy, and community building.
  • Preferred:
    Familiarity with nonprofit operations, arts administration, or environmental advocacy is a plus. A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Arts Administration, or a related field is desirable.
