Overview

The Marketing Co-Director at Kindred Curiosity will co‑lead the development of our brand foundations, marketing strategy, and communications approach. In partnership with the other Co‑Director, you will shape how our organization expresses its identity across all channels.

This role focuses on KC’s professional‑facing platforms, Linked In and email communications, and supports the storytelling, messaging, and thought leadership that help us build credibility, expand partnerships, and grow our organizational presence.

Key Responsibilities Brand Development & Management
  • Co‑lead KC’s brand identity, core messaging, and organizational voice to ensure clarity and consistency across all platforms.
  • Collaborate on overall marketing strategy to ensure Linked In, Instagram, Tik Tok, email, and other channels work together as a unified brand experience.
  • Maintain shared accountability for cross‑platform alignment and co‑manage the brand and style guide.
Platform Ownership:
Linked In & Email Communications
  • Build and grow KC’s Linked In page to share career experiences and support emerging professional development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the other Marketing Co‑Director to ensure cross‑platform alignment and consistent messaging.
  • Lead Linked In strategy, scheduling, content planning, and analytics.
  • Oversee email communications including newsletters, announcements, and community updates.
Content Creation & Series Management
  • Write clear, engaging, and professional content for Linked In, newsletters, and other communication channels.
  • Support KC’s Career Series and other storytelling initiatives that highlight diverse career paths and experiences.
Partnerships, Corporate Messaging & PR Support
  • Work closely with the Partnerships & Outreach Director on messaging for corporate partners, sponsorship opportunities, and collaboration pitches.
  • Ensure external communications reflect KC’s brand identity and strategic positioning.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Monitor newsletter performance, Linked In analytics, and communication metrics.
  • Share insights and recommendations to strengthen engagement and clarity.
Qualifications
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience crafting organizational messaging, newsletters, or professional communications.
  • Ability to shape and maintain a clear, consistent organizational voice.
  • Strategic thinker who can plan content direction, themes, and long‑term marketing goals.
  • Strong project or program management skills with the ability to organize workflows, timelines, and cross‑functional communications.
You’d be a great fit if you:
  • Experience in PR, communications, copywriting, or strategic storytelling.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and communication tools.
  • Experience working with or creating content for professional audiences on Linked In or similar platforms.
  • Experience analyzing data and translating insights into clear, actionable narratives.

  • Passion for building a community for women of the Asian diaspora.
  • Curiosity about Asian diaspora experiences and cross‑cultural narratives.
  • Estimated time commitment:
    Ranging from 15‑20 hours per month
  • Volunteer term will go until December 2026

  • All board members contribute a term‑based board of directors (BOD) fee, prorated based on when they join, with details reviewed during onboarding
