- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Electrical Assembler to join our team in San Francisco, CA.
- This is a hands‑on, on‑site role (5 days per week) requiring disciplined execution to assemble and service next‑generation robotic systems.
- The Assembler will support production hardware and test platforms, ensuring high‑quality, repeatable builds that meet defined requirements for internal use and customer delivery.
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical production units and subassemblies per drawings, work instructions, and build documentation
- Perform repeatable production builds of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electro‑mechanical integrations
- Install and connect compute, control, power, and sensor systems following established procedures
- Conduct functional tests, inspections, and basic calibration steps to verify build completeness and quality
- Identify build defects, missing components, or out‑of‑spec conditions and elevate issues
- Rework or repair production units using approved processes and documentation
- Maintain organized workstations, tools, and production materials
- Support kitting, material handling, and inventory accuracy for production builds
- Follow ESD, safety, and quality requirements during all assembly and test activities
- Record build status, serial numbers, and production data in tracking systems
- Assist with factory integration, final assembly, and shipment preparation
- Provide feedback on work instructions and tooling to improve clarity and repeatability
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or similar environments (aerospace, automotive, construction, electrical service)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Basic English skills (read and understand written instructions, communicate verbally)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer‑sponsored work authorization
- Ability to work in non‑climate‑controlled environments and inclement weather when required
- Experience with electrical wire terminations, routing, bundling, and securing connections
- Ability to disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components
- Familiarity with producing electrical/electromechanical subassemblies from engineering prints, diagrams, and component lists
- Experience in fast‑paced manufacturing environments with broad scope of assembly tasks
