About the Role:
We’re excited to bring on an Assembly Technician to continuously and reliably assemble Trilobots. You’ll work closely with the Assembly Lead and Engineering team to complete assembly tasks while adhering to standards of practice and quality control procedures. Your work will be instrumental in setting up and maintaining a production shop in our new space. On our small but growing team, your contributions will have a huge impact for the team and the scientific communities we serve!
Responsibilities:
- Assemble Trilobots according to specifications provided by the team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, efficient workspace for production.
- Provide feedback and ideas to improve production processes.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and record-keeping used in production.
- Package Trilobots and materials for delivery.
- Periodically rearrange shop layout including moving large items, and creating labels.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in a production and/or prototyping environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or bachelors degree in engineering or a related field is nice to have.
- Experience operating hand-held power tools and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to read technical drawings and quickly gain the necessary understanding to execute work instructions with high precision and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to identify and communicate pain points in production, leading to improved processes and output.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a production/prototyping environment.
- Flexibility and a collaborative attitude when facing deadlines and changing priorities.
- Commitment to a clean, organized, and safe work space. Familiarity with 5S is nice to have.
- Forklift certification and operation experience is a plus. Willingness to get certified is likely a must.
- Highly communicative and collaborative. We’re a small team where everyone’s work is highly interconnected.
- Resilience to rapid change and uncertainty inherent to an early-stage startup environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality in your work.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force regularly (lifting, carrying).
- Manual dexterity to work on small mechanical components.
This is a non-exempt role with a pay range of $25-$35 per hour. It also includes equity and benefits.
