We're seeking a Global Operations Leader to build and manage the human infrastructure that makes our teleoperated robot fleet run 24/7. You'll own the full operator lifecycle—from sourcing and training remote operators to managing their equipment, coordinating with customers, and ensuring operational excellence. This role is critical: you'll be the connective tissue between our robots in US warehouses, our operators abroad, and our customers' needs.
Whatwe do
Avatar Robotics is building flexible robot fleets to revolutionize industrial work across the country. We're on a mission to make every tedious and dangerous warehouse/factory job virtual, safe, and semi-autonomous.
With proven AI approaches and long distance teleoperation, you'll join a team that deploys a physical work solution that is scalable now, not later. We envision a world where millions of machines will make our goods and consumables more affordable and accessible than ever, while critical workers operate these robot fleets from the comfort of their homes.
At Avatar Robotics, you'll create the workforce of the future—in one of the largest markets ($1T+ manual labor market in the US alone).
We're a small but powerful team at the early innings of deploying thousands of units into facilities worldwide.
What you'll do- Build and optimize global operator sourcing and training pipelines (US, LATAM, Philippines, Eastern Europe).
- Manage 24/7 operator performance, scheduling, retention, and resource coordination (VR systems, workstations).
- Establish systematic issue escalation and collaborate with Engineering to translate feedback into product improvements.
- Partner with customers and manage logistics for critical infrastructure deployments (5G/LTE, edge compute, network hardware).
- Conduct on-site testing and build operational dashboards (KPIs) to track productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for common scenarios, edge cases, and safety protocols.
- 4+ years managing distributed teams or remote operations at scale (e.g., customer support, BPO, gig economy).
- Strong project management skills to juggle multiple deployments, equipment logistics, and operator cohorts.
- Data-driven mindset: tracking metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills (engineers, warehouse managers, remote operators).
- Experience building training programs and maintaining quality across international tech-integrated work forces.
- Ability to work irregular hours occasionally to support 24/7 operations across time zones.
- Bonus:
Experience in logistics, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or managing remote technical/hardware deployments.
- Some travel required for customer site visits and international operator training.
- Need to be located or willing to relocate to San Francisco, CA.
- Fluency in Spanish required.
Come join us in building a new global economy, where anyone can do manual work remotely and with robo-scale. Together, we can make goods and resources more affordable and available than they’ve ever been, for everyone on Earth.
