What

You'll Do

BCG’s North America Consulting Team (NAMR CT) Leadership Coaching Team’s purpose is to deliver best-in-class corporate coaching experiences/expertise against various levels of BCG business need. We believe deeply in, and act toward, awakening awareness within self and system(s); enabling empowered, integrative behavior change and actions; and transformations that support individual goals, business priorities, and BCG’s purpose of creating value for clients and society.

  • Provide top-quality coaching to NAMR CT staff
  • Direct coaching of NAMR CT staff, including: coaching a highly diverse group of consultants across the US, Canada, and Mexico; coaching within and across our portfolio of 6+ core strategic offerings, using best-practice foundations specific to each offering
  • Offerings include: new manager group coaching, communications and presence group coaching, business-sponsored one-on-one engagements
  • Common topics include: navigating big transitions, confidence in communications, sustainable performance
  • Indirect coaching activities that support the above and contribute to coaching development, quality, and impact
  • Lead and/or support strategic coaching-related business priorities
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of our function’s “business of coaching,” including the purpose, goals, and priorities of our team and NAMR L&D systems
  • Provide effective leadership of 1+ and support to 2+ strategic efforts
  • Generally support the purpose, brand, and evolution of coaching and L&D
  • Adopt and experiment with new digital and agentic tools to explore how AI and other emerging tools can responsibly enhance our business
  • Be a BCG and internal corporate coaching role model
  • Uphold BCG values and business needs; represent BCG well and protect the firm’s interests
  • Engage in NAMR L&D and local BCG office activities
  • Proactively and regularly seek and act on feedback – coaching and otherwise
  • Maintain ICF ethical standards
  • Maintain team coaching policies and standards
  • Direct coachees to BCG/other professional resources when values, wellbeing, or other issues are surfaced through coaching

You're good at
  • Coaching, including evidence of a track record with multiple coaching modalities and strong feedback
  • Experience with true group coaching and working with diverse coachees and leaders
  • Ability to apply coaching skills outside sessions and to develop coaching-related trainings
  • Commitment to personal professional development and industry innovation (e.g., AI)
  • Business and systems thinking: understanding big-picture interdependencies and connecting the dots
  • Interdependent ownership: understanding how work fits into complex contexts; managing multiple offerings and projects
  • Teaming: proactive, service-oriented, positive work environments; comfortable with remote teams and digital tools
