Role Summary
The Manager, Collaboration Management is responsible for the management of a portfolio of partnered programs in a highly dynamic environment. The role requires coordinating internal and external stakeholders to drive programs toward the best outcomes, with high visibility and cross-functional collaboration across research, strategy, and portfolio teams.
Responsibilities- Serves as manager for portfolio of partnered programs within Collaboration Management
- Ensures involvement of key stakeholders, contributes to achieving technical success, and drives projects to best outcomes
- Organizes and manages joint project team meetings with collaborators to review program status, identify issues/risks and problem-solve
- Works with Collaboration Leaders to ensure timely, efficient, and effective meetings and progress on research activities between meetings
- Collaborates with internal core R&D functions and Alliance Management to monitor progress toward defined program goals
- Maintains integrated timelines; understands key functional interdependencies, risks and assumptions
- Manages development of documentation to support decision-making
- Determines readiness for program review at governance meetings and review of critical data and strategic changes
- Monitors readiness of collaborative programs for licensing/internalization and coordinates related activities
- Drives efficient communication within the team and with functions, collaborators, and leadership
- Manages IP filing opportunities and contributes to MTAs and amendments as required
- Contributes to portfolio-related data management and internal/external portfolio tracking materials
- Required:
6+ years of experience with a BS; 4+ years with an MS; 0+ years with a PhD/PharmD - Preferred: BA/BS with 6+ years of relevant experience or MS/MBA with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Preferred: project leadership and project management experience in pharmaceutical R&D
- Strong scientific acumen and leadership skills; ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Pharmaceutical project management principles and practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Microsoft Project or similar tools
- Ability to manage multiple programs in a fast-paced environment
- BS or MS (Pharm
D/PhD optional); relevant advanced degree aligned to pharmaceutical R&D
