Premium Pay Notice:
This position includes a premium store pay rate of $3 above base hourly rate when working onsite at the designated premium location. Premium pay does not apply at other locations and is paid bi-weekly in arrears.
- Work independently to manage daily property operations.
- Provide exceptional service to customers, including answering inquiries, assisting with storage needs, and processing rental agreements.
- Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and manage delinquent accounts, including collection efforts.
- Conduct cash drawer audits and execute bank deposits according to company policies.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure safety and maximize units available for rent.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to multitask.
- Experience in sales.
- Conduct property walks regularly during shifts.
- Approximately 50% of time spent in outdoor environments, including walking, stairs, and opening large doors.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the property, including regular inspections and maintenance tasks (e.g., sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs).
- Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- May be required to run errands and travel to other store locations.
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will start by preparing for opening, ensuring cleanliness and working order, counting cash drawer, and conducting a property walk-through. You will assist customers with storage solutions, handle rental agreements, process payments, and address concerns. You will perform regular property inspections, check maintenance needs, and ensure safety and security. You may participate in virtual meetings, collaborative projects, and training.
Your day ends with closing procedures and ensuring the property is secure. The schedule is five days per week (no Sundays) with an end time around 6pm.
