Project Manager, Program ​/ Project Manager, Operations Manager

btrax is a design and marketing agency specializing in Japan and U.S. market entry and growth. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can communicate proficiently in English and Japanese during client interactions. Are you that person?

You will support the setup and running of projects, ensuring efficiency and achieving project goals, while working closely with your project team. You’ll be comfortable as the main point of contact for client communication and ensuring all tasks are clear and successfully carried out by the btrax team, partners, and stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Client Project Strategy and Execution

Work with btrax’s Account Managers on project strategy and proposal content

Project Management (Internal and Client)

Establish project timelines with the client

Responsible for ensuring that the project team completes projects on time and within budget

Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from stakeholders

Develop the project plan with the team and manage the team’s performance of tasks

Collaborate with other production team members, designers, and engineers to meet client needs

Identify production resource needs via meetings and btrax’s project management system

Strategic engagement with clients to provide recommendations based on project findings

Work with clients regularly, and update them on the progress of projects

Objectives:

Achieve client success while making sure projects are profitable

Utilize and develop personal project management knowledge and skills

Develop personal research and marketing knowledge and skills

Build hands-on experience in internal and client-project marketing

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

3+ years of experience working as a project manager for a market research agency, advertising agency, design agency, or consulting firm

Fluent in Japanese and English

Previous experience working with both US and/or Japanese businesses

Experience in the management of external stakeholders and a small internal team

Proactive problem solver with a great sense of autonomy and a can-do attitude

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
