Job Title:

Prologis

Senior Vice President, Investments – Northern California

A day in the life

As an SVP, Investment Officer for Northern California, you will lead all capital deployment efforts across the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Valley—two of the most dynamic logistics and industrial markets in the country. Based at the company’s headquarters, you will manage a high-performing team of real estate professionals and take ownership of sourcing, underwriting, and executing a wide range of investment opportunities, including acquisitions, dispositions, developments, built-to-suits and value-add redevelopments.

You will be responsible for setting investment strategy, driving growth, and deepening Prologis’ competitive position in the region. Your role will include both strategic leadership and hands‑on execution, working cross‑functionally with leasing, development, entitlements, customer‑led development, and emerging verticals such as the data center, energy and mobility teams. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver high‑quality deal flow, optimize capital allocation, and lead with integrity and vision.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Partner with the leasing and development teams to drive deal flow by identifying new capital deployment opportunities (including green and brown‑field land acquisitions, speculative and build‑to‑suit developments, value‑add redevelopments, portfolio and single asset acquisitions and M&A in private and public portfolios).
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and management for the Northern California investment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, execution, and accountability. Leverage existing professional relationships and develop new strategic contacts to generate business opportunities with potential real estate partners, private sellers, brokers, investment bankers, owners, developers, consultants and high net‑worth individuals.
  • Identify and present new investment opportunities to the Senior Leadership and Prologis Investment Committee.
  • Ability to identify, anticipate, communicate, and capitalize on market trends to bring industry leading returns to Prologis.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of the company’s assets, strategy, processes and systems.
  • Oversee all land development and entitlement efforts within the market(s). Partner closely with internal stakeholders to evaluate and execute transactions. Represent Prologis externally with customers, public officials, industry groups, and community stakeholders to enhance brand reputation and project momentum.
Building blocks for success

Required:
  • 12+ years of experience executing industrial real estate transactions (investments across various risk profiles). Minimum of 5 years and a successful track record managing a team of 3 or more direct reports.
  • A leader and team player, a successful candidate must work well in a multi‑functional, collaborative environment, and demonstrate a strong work ethic and a committed customer service mentality.
  • Demonstrated experience/successful track record sourcing, originating, acquiring, negotiating and closing industrial real estate transactions in the U.S.
  • An existing network of contacts and relationships with real estate professionals in the sector, and the proven ability to develop, cultivate and manage high quality relationships with owners, operators, and high net‑worth individuals. Strong knowledge of the U.S. industrial real estate markets, with direct past/current experience in Northern California.
  • In California, this role requires a Real Estate license:
Must have a current Real Estate sales license in the State of California or be able to obtain a license within six months of commencing employment. Please note that the company will cover relevant, associated costs, and will consider the reasonable time spent acquiring the license as part of work hours.

Hiring Salary Range of: $243,00 - $304,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI (Long Term Incentives)) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
