Facilities Maintenance Technician
Compensation: $34.50 per hour
Purpose: As a representative for our organization, you will assist with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned facilities. The role emphasizes quality, integrity, and communication, and may include outreach and support to all Hope Services sites to ensure good customer service and business practices.
Principle Responsibilities- Perform daily maintenance of assigned buildings and grounds.
- Execute quality repairs and ensure adequate maintenance through scheduling and documentation.
- Prepare required reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with agency safety practices and OSHA standards.
- Respond to customer calls, complaints, suggestions, and feedback to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform and supervise interior painting of buildings.
- Conduct periodic quality control through monitoring and confirmation calls.
- Perform minor repairs of plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures and minor service for HVAC (filters, belts, cleanings). Monitor maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Act as a mandated abuse reporter.
- May perform other duties as assigned to ensure program efficiency.
High School diploma or GED, plus four years of related work experience. Additional business-related experience and/or education may be required depending on assignment.
Required Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Facilitate systems and checks to ensure delivery of quality service and product to internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of principles of management, supervision, planning, and fiscal management.
- Knowledge of repair, maintenance, and safety regulations.
- Ability to observe, evaluate, and document verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing, lighting, light carpentry, HVACR, and general maintenance procedures.
- Universal CFC certification is a plus.
- Practice safe work habits and use equipment, materials, and supplies properly.
- California Driver's License.
The job may be performed indoors or outdoors. Physical demands include lifting, bending, twisting, crawling, and handling heavy machinery. Exposure to noise, dust, and pollen may occur. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
