Action Property Management, a premier management company, is seeking a full-time Building Engineer for our Millennium Tower property in San Francisco.
The Building Engineer under the direction and supervision of the Chief Building Engineer is responsible for maintaining, correcting deficiencies, and/or making repairs to all "common areas" within the Association as well as the building grounds. They support the implementation and documentation of site safety plans and operational standards and guidelines, as well as the property HOA standards, policies, and procedures relating to the engineering department.
Compensation& Schedule
Compensation: $28.00- $34.00 Per Hour + Covered Benefits + Holiday Bonus + Annual Bonus ranging anywhere from $7,000 to $20,000.
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday; 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- Schedule is not guaranteed and is subject to change based on operational needs
- Maintain and perform repairs to buildings, utilities, grounds, and equipment.
- Optimize the repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems.
- Perform regular rounds of the facility, identify maintenance items in need of attention, and perform the necessary maintenance.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment such as filter changes, lubrication, inspection, and adjustment of belts and pulleys.
- Check and record temperature, pressure, water flow, air flow, and chemical readings.
- Clean boiler and condenser tubes.
- Maintain cooling tower and replace ballasts and bearings.
- Record all pertinent data in building logbooks, and make all appropriate daily entries.
- Conduct utility and equipment tests.
- Process administrative paperwork in accordance to departmental policies and procedures.
- Comply and participate with safety in mind for self as well as others. Participate in facility specific safety program.
- Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions.
- Provide highest quality of service to the tenants, staff, and visitors at the property.
- Participate in regular required communication with Chief Engineer and other staff.
- Maintain preparedness for emergency responses to floods, fires, power outages, earthquakes, and other disasters.
- Respond promptly to project emergencies and service calls.
- Be a team player and contribute to the creation of an enjoyable, productive, and safe work environment.
- Assist team members with tasks not strictly related to this job description.
- Maintain customer service standards as set by the Hospitality Department and General Manager.
- Display high morale, integrity, loyalty, and professionalism at all times.
- Be available for overtime in special circumstances to complete projects or meet deadlines.
- Minimum of 2 years of Maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or property management.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Hands on experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Painting is highly desired.
- EPA/608 Universal License preferred.
- HVAC Certification preferred.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
- Fire Life Safety Certification is a plus.
