Your role at BaxterOur Field Service Technician II’s primary responsibility is to perform complex repair work on all customer and company‑owned medical equipment. In addition to repair work, the FSII also performs the same responsibilities as a FST I related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer‑owned medical products. The position requires operating a fleet vehicle safely and maintaining direct customer contact.
The FSII also provides 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
- Identify and repair malfunctioning components on devices.
- Use appropriate tools for adjustments and repairs.
- Provide on‑call coverage 24/7, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Load, unload, and move medical products weighing up to 1,680 pounds.
- Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contracts.
- Safely operate a box truck, company car, cargo van or up to a 26,000‑pound truck.
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Compensation for this position ranges from $56,000 to $77,000. Actual salary may vary based on skills, experience, business line, and location.
