Overview
Fenwick is seeking a Litigation Practice Support Lawyer ("PSL") to support the firm’s four litigation subgroups:
Patent Litigation, IP & Complex Litigation, Securities Litigation, and Employment Litigation. The PSL will create, distribute, and manage model documents and forms; develop and organize content and knowledge resources; implement and promote relevant technology; prepare and present training materials; and manage and draft internal and external thought‑leadership content.
This position can be based in any U.S. office location and offers a hybrid work arrangement with in‑office work determined by business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Create, maintain, and promote model documents, forms, precedents, and drafting guidance for the litigation subgroups.
- Identify forms suitable for automation and work with the Knowledge and Innovation team to automate them.
- Develop and promote strategies to make practice content accessible, including case and judge information and matter‑specific material.
- Assist practitioners in locating practice‑related knowledge resources and supporting technology.
- Build and maintain repositories for key practice information such as judges and experts.
- Collaborate on technology initiatives, pilot programs, and AI adoption for client and internal functions.
- Liaise with the Attorney Training team to develop and deliver substantive and practical legal skills training.
- Assist junior attorneys with presentation skills.
- Archive and make training materials readily accessible.
- Produce content for marketing and business development: articles, client alerts, presentations, case studies, market surveys, blogs.
- Monitor state and federal laws, regulations, and case law; update resources and inform practice groups of substantive developments.
Skills and Qualifications
- Expert legal knowledge and practice skills; experience in litigation subgroups is a plus.
- Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.
- Commitment to knowledge sharing, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Ability to build relationships with department personnel, firm management, attorneys, and staff; skill in gaining consensus for change.
- Superior client service, communication, and interpersonal skills; user‑friendly approach.
- Highly organized, efficient, detail‑oriented, and proactive.
- Initiative in managing multiple priorities and projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strategic focus, understanding of firm and practice group goals, and awareness of legal market trends.
- J.D. required; 4+ years experience in a law firm litigation practice.
- Experience with project management, legal software tools, and / or attorney training is a plus.
The PSL reports to the Litigation Practice Group Director.
Benefits and CompensationAnticipated salary range: $186,000 – $279,000. Salary may vary by qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location.
