Legal Billing Coordinator - San Francisco, CA
Firm:
A San Francisco–based law firm with more than 75 years of experience in immigration law. The firm specializes in corporate and individual immigration matters, assisting employers and foreign nationals with work visas, green cards, compliance, and related immigration services.
Role:
The Legal Billing Coordinator will be responsible for managing the firm’s billing operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant invoicing. This role works closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and clients to maintain billing accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and support the firm’s financial processes.
Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and process client invoices in accordance with firm policies and client billing guidelines
- Edit and audit attorney time entries for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Coordinate electronic billing (e-billing) submissions and resolve rejections or discrepancies
- Communicate with attorneys and staff regarding billing issues, rates, and billing narratives
- Manage billing cycles, including monthly, interim, and special billing requests
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of legal billing or law firm accounting experience
- Familiarity with legal billing software and e-billing platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- 2-3 days in office with possible transition to fully remote
- Base Salary: $80-100k+, commensurate with experience
