Overview
Job Description And Duties We are seeking a motivated person who values a positive and empowering work environment. As a Senior Legal Analyst in the Government Law Section, you will work under the direction of the Senior Assistant Attorney General in performing administrative, technical, and analytical work to support the Government Law Section's mission (which is to provide legal advice and representation to the State's constitutional officers and agencies on a wide range of issues).
The Senior Legal Analyst ensures that a wide range of administrative processes and requirements for the Section are timely satisfied. Among other things, specific duties include: independently reviewing and analyzing legal documents; drafting legal memoranda recommending courses of action to attorney; organizing and managing case files, investigative and discovery documents; arranging for and receiving service of process; identifying and interviewing witnesses and drafting witnesses' declarations;
and assisting attorneys in work on ballot initiatives and election matters. The position requires substantial organizational skills, effective time management, clear written and oral communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and timely respond to emails.
