A law firm seeks a motivated Trademark Associate with 4–7 years of trademark experience to join its trademark and advertising team. The position is anchored in Dallas, TX, and the firm is also open to attorneys who prefer to sit in Charlotte, Orange County, or San Francisco.

This is a strong fit for attorneys who want to deepen their experience advising and defending large brand owners—working across trademark enforcement, prosecution support, and advertising-related counseling and disputes. The team operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and offers meaningful exposure to sophisticated, high-stakes matters. This role is actively interviewing and positions like this rarely open at this experience level.

• Represent large brand owners in trademark and advertising matters from strategy through execution
• Support trademark clearance and risk assessment for new products, campaigns, and brand expansions
• Handle trademark prosecution work streams and collaborate on portfolio strategy and brand maintenance
• Assist with trademark enforcement, including cease-and-desist matters, settlement strategy, and dispute escalation
• Review advertising claims (substantiation, comparative claims, endorsements, and marketing risk)
• Ensure label and packaging compliance and help align legal guidance with business goals
• Manage and support advertising-related disputes, including competitor challenges and claim substantiation issues
• Partner with senior attorneys and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver practical, business-forward advice

• 4–7 years of substantive trademark experience (clearance, prosecution, enforcement)
• Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills
• Experience in a large law firm setting preferred
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (must be in good standing)

• Exceptional training in trademark law, with the ability to issue clear, strategic guidance
• Developed skills in advertising law, including claim review and dispute support
• Strong interpersonal skills—comfortable working with senior lawyers and sophisticated clients
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple matters efficiently
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive brand and reputation issues
