General Counsel | Chief Legal Officer

We are seeking a General Counsel | Chief Legal Officer to lead the organization’s legal strategy, provide counsel on complex legal matters, and support executive leadership in achieving business objectives. This role focuses on managing legal risk, ensuring compliance, and guiding the organization through strategic decision-making.

• Provide legal advice and guidance to executive leadership and the board of directors
• Oversee corporate governance matters, including policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Develop and implement strategies to manage legal risk across the organization

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
• Ensure contracts align with organizational objectives and minimize risk
• Advise on intellectual property, licensing, and commercial agreements

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Manage litigation, disputes, and external counsel relationships
• Develop proactive risk management strategies to protect organizational interests

• Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering professional development and collaboration
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on legal and regulatory matters
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on strategic initiatives

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Significant experience in senior legal roles, preferably as General Counsel or Chief Legal Officer
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic counsel

• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
• Additional certifications in corporate governance or compliance

• Salary range of $275,000 – $350,000
