Practice Group Overview
Our North America Employment & Compensation Practice Group provides clients with a "one stop" domestic and international employment law counseling and litigation representation. We assist multinational companies with their international and domestic labor and employment issues, from expansion into or exit from new jurisdictions to deploying and managing a global workforce, to defending them in litigation in both state and federal court.
We "translate" the international landscape for in‑house counsel and managers with global responsibilities and lead cross‑border and multi‑disciplinary employment projects providing commercially practical support for our clients’ global operations.
Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney for its Global Employment & Labor Law practice. The position is focused on providing advice and counsel to multinational clients on US and cross‑border employment issues, including transactions.
Qualifications- Strong academic credentials from a top law school.
- Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills.
- Experience in employment counseling and background in international employment law.
- Recent law graduates are welcome if they will be sitting for the bar exam.
- Admitted and a member in good standing of the Bar in the state of employment.
- Ability to function smoothly in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members.
For candidates living and working in our California (Bay Area) and Illinois (Chicago) offices, the annual salary range is between $225,000 – $235,000.
